Local Scholarship Application: By completing the Local Scholarship Application, you will be eligible for up to 40 different local scholarships offered to students in our community.  To apply go to WHS website and click on Students-Services-Scholarships/Financial Aide. Then scroll down until you see Local Scholarship Application. After you complete the application, bring it to Sherri Green in Student Services.  The deadline to apply is February 28, 2019.

Schwab Rosenhouse Scholarship:  
High school seniors who meet all California residency requirements and reside in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento or Yolo Counties are eligible to apply for renewable scholarships worth up to $5,000 per academic year. The deadline to apply is February 7, 2019.  For more information and to apply go to:


2019 John and Eunice Davidson Scholarship:  Students eligible for this scholarship shall: Be a graduating senior of Woodland High School, Be pursuing a career in health-related field, Have been accepted to an on-campus two or four college or university in California, Student must continue to attend classes and keep a min 2.5 GPA.  Submit a scholarship application through the on-line form at: . Scholarship amount $2,500 awarded and paid in two equal installments for up to four years.  The deadline to apply is Feb 21, 2019.

National Co-Op Scholarship Program:  To qualify for this scholarship, students must:  Have a GPA of 3.5 or better, Apply for admission for the 2019-2020 academic year at institution(s) you select on the scholarship application, Meet other scholarship criteria as established by the institution(s) selected on the application. California Association of Winegrape Growers Foundation: The CAWG is offering three $8,000 and three $2,000 scholarships in 2019. To qualify you must: Be graduating from high school and plan to attend a University of California, California State University or California community college in the fall of 2019. You must have a parent or legal guardian who is/was an employee of a WINEgrape grower during the 2018 or 2019 season. The Pastel Society of the West Coast is pleased to announce a $1,000 Art Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating high school senior who is interested in the further study of art. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2019


American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship:  This scholarship is offered to a child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a veteran who served in the armed forces of the United States. The applicant must be currently attending high school and plan on attending college or a technical school in 2019-2020. An essay of 200 words or more is required. The award amount is $2,000.  The deadline to apply is April 19, 2019. For details, see Sherri Green in Student Services.

Soroptimist International of Woodland: This scholarship is geared towards young women with a 2.0 GPA or better who have experienced obstacles to education but are still thriving and are planning to pursue a post high school education in a vocational school or college. To be eligible to apply a student must be: a young women, a graduating senior, attend Woodland High School, have a GPA of 2.0 or higher, and plan on attending a college or trade school next year. Award amount is $1,000. To apply you can pick up an application in Student Services. Deadline to apply is March 15, 2019.

The Zebra “Show off Your Stripes” 2018 Scholarship: Send us a video or a three-photo album of you and your best friend, your grandma, your neighbor — it’s totally up to you — and tell us what different things you like about each other, what you’ve learned from your relationship, or what message you have about inclusiveness to share with the world. However you choose to say it, one thing is important to remember: we’re here to applaud our uniqueness’s. We hope you’ll join us!  Applicants must be currently enrolled at or planning to attend a four-year university, graduate program, community college, or trade school located in the continental United States. Upon notification, the winner must supply a current proof of enrollment or letter of acceptance.

  • Entrants have the option to create an original video not exceeding two minutes. Each video submission must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, and should be submitted by email to

  • If you prefer not to submit a video, entrants have the option to instead create a three-(3) photo album. Each album submission must be posted on Instagram or Facebook and must tag The Zebra (@TheZebraCo) with your post. Please also send the same three images to with the same description as you’ve posted on social media.

  • With your submission, please include your name, address, and phone number.

  • The selected winner will be awarded a check for $1,000.

  • Applications must be received no later than 11:59pm CST on May 31, 2019.

  • The winner will be selected and notified by email by June 15, 2019.

  • Submissions will be judged by The Zebra and the winner will be selected based on creativity in the content and presentation.

  • Upon notification, winner must also supply a current proof of enrollment at a four-year university, graduate program, community college, or trade school located in the continental United States.
