Academic, Career, and College Advisement
The counselors work closely with students, parents, teachers, and staff to facilitate an appropriate course of study for every student. It is our goal to develop a plan for each student to provide a challenging program that will best equip students for a life after high school. We promote a culture of preparing students to be competitively college and career ready, and provide every student with the opportunity and resources to meet their goals. Along with teachers, counselors continuously monitor credits and identify students who need additional support. Support plans may consist of reviewing class placement, referrals to Study Hall and the Learning Resource Center, student-teacher-parent meetings, and plans for credit recovery.
Counselors provide information through classroom presentations, individual meetings, email correspondence, and information nights. Parents and students are encouraged to become familiar with the school handbook and ask questions!
